Arrival & Parking back to top
When visiting a church for the first time it is really easy to locate the car park right from the Gypsy Hill roundabout... go on Alleyn Park... look for Kingsdale School... and there is a lot of parking space! Our friendly car park security will assist you with any needs you might have.
Entering the Building back to top
From the car park, walk through the little gate at the car park (our workers will show you) and through the electronic sliding glass doors and to the forecourt of the church. In front of you, you will see the Welcome Centre, which also has the Media Centre, Prayer Centre, Health Centre etc.
There will usually be someone waiting to welcome you to our church. First time visitors are normally given a packet of information about our church. The weekly bulletin is available also at the Welcome Centre. Someone may be handing them out or you may pick one up from the table. Our bulletins have a flap that we use to keep track of attendance. We ask that people who have never attended our church fill it out completely and drop it in the offering plate. You should have time to do this during the music ministrations and or offering time.
Pre service Prayer Services (Armour Bearers and Pillars for Christ Prayer Services)
Before the first service, our Armour Bearers and Pillars for Christ Prayer Teams have an hour of intercession. We call this Sunday Morning Prayer Service. It is usually open for all and helps people to build their prayer and spiritual base. This takes place between 8.30am and 9.30am
Worship Service: Children and Adults: back to top
Our Sunday morning worship service begins at 9.00am.
A nursery and children’s church usually begins with the second service, 11am – 1.30pm.
The age distribution is usually:
• Ages 1-5: Kids Church 1
• Ages 6 – 9: Kids church 2
• Ages 10 and u: Teens Church
The Children’s church is located across the forecourt (our friendly ushers and protocol will show you how to get there).
Our Adult worship service meets in the auditorium. You may sit anywhere. Our worship services are best classified as blended, so you may hear many different styles of music. We normally collect an offering during the service. This is a freewill offering and is not compulsory.
We also like to know more about our visitors, so we ask that they place the attendance card in the offering pouch at this time.
You can expect to hear a sermon from the Word of God following the song service. If you have a personal Bible you will probably want to bring it to follow along. With a note book and pen to make notes during the sermon. Following the sermon we normally have an invitation and then a prayer is said at the end of the service.
After the Service: back to top
You may find that people are slow to leave after services. Many people stand around to visit one another and our pastor likes to stand at the door to shake everyone’s hand as they leave.
Guest Reception: back to top
We usually host a guest reception for first and second time visitors where the Pastors and Ministers meet them for a friendly interaction. Guest reception is held right after the service, and usually the protocol would guide the guests to the reception area.
How We Dress: back to top
We have no dress code and we don’t turn people away based on how they are dressed, but many of our people like to wear their best clothes on Sunday morning. Sunday evening is more relaxed and Monday and Friday evenings are even more so. At any of our services you will find people wearing jeans, but there is a smaller percentage that does so on Sunday morning. On Monday or Friday evening you may find someone wearing a suit and tie, but this is more uncommon since some do not change clothes between work and church.
